BODY & MIND
Having its origins in ancient Chinese Medicine, acupuncture has evolved into a distinct medical specialty with its own scientific foundation and high-tech therapeutic tools. The benefits of modern acupuncture extend far beyond pain relief. People turn to acupuncture, both as a stand-alone treatment and along other therapies, for help with a variety of health issues.
I am an acupuncture physician with a doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In practice for over 25 years, I have helped thousands of patients tap into their body's natural ability to self-heal. I especially enjoy working with people fighting so called “difficult” conditions, such as degenerative neurological and auto-immune diseases.
My private studio is a safe and supportive place. While I can't promise a quick cure, rest assured that I will listen to you and take your symptoms seriously. Together, we will explore your health concerns to craft an effective yet gentle therapeutic regimen targeting both your immediate symptoms, and more importantly, the underlying root cause of your disorder.
Acupuncture is no longer considered “alternative medicine.” Over the past 20 years, there have been over 13,000 scientific studies on acupuncture in more than 60 countries. The new data illustrate the effectiveness of acupuncture in treating hundreds of diseases and symptoms. Thus, this clickable menu is by no means all-inclusive.
Point of Cure Acupuncture and Electromedicine offers a variety of therapeutic modalities, including:
Traditional acupuncture (needling)
Auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture)
Transcutaneous electrical stimulation
Low level (cold) laser therapy
Vagus nerve stimulation (neuromodulation)
Transcranial alternating current stimulation
Myofascial trigger point therapy
Acupuncture point injection
Acuphoresis (medication electrophoresis)
My patients also benefit from other forms of complementary medicine, such as functional laboratory testing, nutraceutical supplements, botanical (herbal) formulas, and IM vitamin injections.
In addition to acupuncture means of diagnosis (tongue examination, pulse taking, channel palpation, auricular diagnosis, and electric skin resistance testing), I use modern laboratory (blood, urine, saliva, stool & hair analysis, heavy metal screening, mineral studies) and imaging (X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, infrared/thermal) studies.
